Washington State Fair at Puyallup (Sept 15-17, 2009):

ABGA Junior Champion FB Doe & Res Champ Overall FB Doe: WHG Perfect Constellation -- she is a chocolate leopard spotted fullblood doe out of Squaw and Perfection. Judge: Kyle Strickland. We are thrilled with 'Stella' and proud to be able to breed spotted goats that can compete in the ring with traditional fullbloods. Kyle said the quality of the goats in the show was as good as he'd seen anywhere in the country and for Stella to stand as junior champion with that competition sure made us happy. photo at bottom of page

Clark County Fair (Aug 12-16, 2009):

4H: Champion Wether: 'Spot', a leopard spotted 94% wether sired by Perfection (out of Stingers Vertigo) bred by White House Goats and shown by Zoe Conlee. Also, 1st place lightweight wether was sired by Perfection, and the 2nd & 3rd place lightweight wethers were sired by Stinger. Those three were bred by Rocking RDM. Another Perfection wether was fourth in the heavy weight -- Perfection had the overall 1st, 4th & 5th place wethers. And for the unsanctioned 4H 'meat goat' show, WHG Stingers Spotted Bikini was the senior champion meat doe, and her mother, Wynneshire Smooth Mabel (50% Boer), won the butterfat competition with a 6.76% butterfat -- more than double the other does.

ABGA: Overall Reserve Champion % Doe and Reserve Champion Jr % Doe: WHG Perfect Zen: Zen is a solid red 75% doe born in March 09 out of Wisdom (Doe of Excellence) and sired by Perfection.

ABGA: Champion Yearling % Doe: WHG Stingers Vertigo: Vertigo is a solid red 88% doe out of VooDoo (Doe of Excellence) and sired by *ennobled* Stinger.

ABGA: Reserve Champion Yearling % Doe: WHG Stingers Spotted Bikini: Bikini is a spotted paint 75% doe out of Wynneshire Smooth Mabel and sired by *ennobled* Stinger. Bikini is newly owned by Valley View Boer Goats.

USBGA: Senior Champion FB Doe: ZOE Stingers Patrice. Patrice will turn 4 this fall and is a big traditional doe. She hasn't shown much as she's been busy producing (including Debutante who was res chmp jr fb doe at the big April Fools show).

Red, White & Boer (July 4-5, 2009):

Shows 1 & 3: Intermediate Champion Percentage Doe: WHG Warriors Arabesque. Arabesque is a traditional daughter of Warrior and out of Stingers Savvy.

2nd, 3rd & 5th place in class of 20 entries - 6-9mo FB Doe: WHG Perfect Constellation: Constellation is a leopard spotted fullblood doe out of War Squaw and sired by Perfection.

Yakima (May 16-17, 2009):

2nd, 4th & 3rd place in class of 20 entries - 3-6mo FB Doe: WHG Perfect Constellation: Constellation is a leopard spotted fullblood doe out of War Squaw and sired by Perfection.

1st, 2nd & 2nd place - 0-3mo FB Buck: WHG Perfect Alibi: Alibi is a leopard spotted fullblood buck out of CDKates Pepper (Capriole's Gracias x OB Red Warrior) and sired by Perfection. Alibi made himself at home in the showring with the traditionals and placed very well. One judge commented "that's the best dappled buck I've ever seen". We'll be watching Alibi closely as he develops.

April Fools (April 4, 2009):The Show season started in the northwest with our first show 'April Fools' -- a big show with over 200 goats competing for top honors. It was a great show for the White House goats with rosettes in the percentage & fullblood rings, and our spotted goats competing well against tough competition -- see below:

fullblood division

Reserve Champion Jr. FB/PB Doe: WHG Perfect Debutante, judge Chip Kemp: Debutante is a spotted paint fullblood doe out of Stingers Patrice and sired by Perfection. Debutante held her own in a class of 35 goats (0-3mo) for her first place ribbon and then at her young age was honored with the reserve champion ribbon in a division with 69 competitors.

2nd place 3-6mo FB Doe: WHG Perfect Constellation, judge Chip Kemp: Constellation is a leopard spotted fullblood doe out of War Squaw and sired by Perfection. Constellation took second place in a class of 20 goats to the doe who became jr champion in the large division.

3rd place 3-6mo FB Doe: WHG Perfect Illusion, judge Chip Kemp: Illusion is a leopard spotted fullblood doe out of WHG Warriors Caliente and sired by Perfection. Illusion stood just behind Constellation in their class of 20 goats.

Overall Champion Percentage Doe and Champion Yr. % Doe: WHG Warriors Arabesque, judge Chip Kemp: Arabesque is a traditional doe out of WHG Stingers Savvy and sired by Outback Boers Red Warrior.

1st place 0-3mo % Doe: WHG Warriors Calico Cat, judge Chip Kemp: Calico Cat was only 6wks old, but she took first place in a tough 0-3mo class under Chip Kemp. She's a grey/red/cream dappled 75% doe out of DRRR Gypsy and sired by Outback Boers Red Warrior.

Res Champion Yr. % Doe: WHG Warriors Arabesque, judge Mark Berry: Arabesque is a traditional doe out of WHG Stingers Savvy and sired by Outback Boers Red Warrior.

buck division

Congratulations to Richard & Sandy's Boer Goats for receiving Reserve Champion Senior Buck under both Chip Kemp and Mark Berry with RNSH Coaco Valentine, their solid red buck sired by our buck Outback Boers Scorpios Stinger and out of WHG Duramax's Valentine.
