Online Meat Goat Show -- Year End Championships: 2007 Junior Champion Commercial Doe: WHG Warriors VooDoo, selected by Danny Thompson. VooDoo is our solid red 75% boer doe, sired by Warrior and out of ennobled percentage doe Merritt's LH Wisdom. Judge Thompson's comments (see at http://www.showmeatgoats.com/champions.php?season=2007&div=1): 'Style and balance, combined with femininity and muscle. You do not get to see red does made like this every day. One that has her legs placed squarely under her body. One that blends smoothly into her shoulders. One that has natural thickness, with dimension and capacity. She is easy Div. CHAMPION I will be the first to say. I would like to see a side photo of this doe. You can see she is a powerful expressively muscled doe. With the evidence of her muscle expression in her shoulder, forearm, rump and leg. With all the muscle this doe exhibits she still shows femininity. CONGRATULATIONS to both the Champion and Res. In this Division.' OctoBoer Fall Finale (10/07): Overall Champion and Junior Champion Percentage Doe: Leaning Tree Dulcette. ABGA, 10/13/07, judge: Anita Messer. Central Washington State Fair at Yakima (9/07): Best Doe in Show, Overall Grand Champion Percentage Doe and Junior Champion Percentage Doe: Leaning Tree A. Dulcette. ABGA, 9/30/07, judge: Glen Avriett. Dulcette is still only 2mo old and has now added her second overall champion percentage doe to her list of wins. On top of that, she was named the Best Doe in Show over the Fullblood/Purebred Champion -- pretty impressive for a percentage doe, and for one less than 3mo old is particularly noteworthy. Dulcette is a stunning doe bred by Leaning Tree Farm. Washington State Fair at Puyallup (9/07): The state fair had about 100 does competing. We were thrilled with the placings from our goats. We had three percentages showing and took home jr champion, sr res champion and overall champion. We had one jr fb/pb there and she took jr res champ. Of our four sr fb does, all four ended up in the champion drive -- three in the first line and one in the second. Overall Champion and Junior Champion Percentage Doe: Leaning Tree Dulcette. ABGA, 9/13/07, judge: Fred Homeyer. Dulcette is only 2mo old and already has won her first overall championship! She is a stunning doe bred by Leaning Tree Farm; she's long, wide, smooth, elegant, and stands there in the ring like she knows she's queen of the world. Sr Res Champion Percentage Doe: WHG Warriors VooDoo. ABGA, 9/12/07, judge: Fred Homeyer. VooDoo is our solid red 75% boer doe. Her many wins played a big part in her dam receiving her "Doe of Excellence" award from the ABGA this year. Jr Res Champion FB/PB Doe: ZOE Stingers Flash. ABGA, 9/12/07, judge: Fred Homeyer. Flash has been in 1st place a number of times in her young show career, but this was her first rosette. She's Zoe's beloved doe, so it was wonderful to see them do so well at the show. Overall Champion and Sr Champion FB/PB Doe: Rollin' Sage Scandalous. ABGA, 9/12/07, judge: Fred Homeyer. Scandal has grown into a huge powerful doe and we are thrilled to have her in our herd. Her solid red daughter Rose was 1st place in the 18-24mo does in the same show. Check back for photos of Scandal and Rose soon! Junior Champion Percentage Doe: Leaning Tree Dulcette. We took six does to fair and were 1st place in the 4-6mo does (DreamCatcher, paint doe Squaw x Stinger), 1st place in the 8-12mo does (Flash, paint doe Sister x Stinger), 1st place in senior 1-2yr does (Rose, red doe Scandal x Stinger), 2nd and 3rd in the 2yr does (Squaw and RedSox), and 1st in the 3yr does (Scandal, paint doe). Only one of our does went home with something other than a first or a rosette, and that doe (Sox) stood right behind the reserve champion in her 2yr old class. April Fools Boer Goat Weekend, Stevenson, WA (3/31/07): Champion Senior Percentage Doe: USBGA show: WHG Stingers Savvy -- a paint 75% doe out of Wisdom by Stinger. She did this while nursing two buck kids...she kidded easily, is growing them out well, and still looks good enough to be champion; we're sure proud of this doe. Reserve Champion Buck: ABGA show, Mark Berry judging: ZOE Warriors Back Draft -- an almost solid red buck kid sired by Warrior out of our doe RedSox -- a Stinger daughter. Back Draft was only 5wks and 1 day old at this show -- the youngest goat I've ever had win a rosette, and it was against some beautiful bucks. He was called out in particular for tracking tremendously wide and straight, having a correct, strong topline, and a good twist. Online Goat Show (2/22/07): 1st place: RSB Rollin' Sage Scandalous: Boer Does age 24 thru 35 months: Judged 2007-02-22 by Danny Thompson: Comment on Scandal: "Really a powerful doe here that still has the femininity of a boer doe." Comment on the class: "The on line show is looking much like the live shows. The quality of goats is getting better and better each year. The top end in this class is some powerful productive does."
